Atsushi Kusaka
Born in Toyama Prefecture in 1983, grew up with parents who ran a ranch in Betsukai Town, Hokkaido.
1997: Due to my parents' work, I moved to Ichikai-cho, Haga-gun, Tochigi Prefecture.
1999 Sakushin Gakuin High School (belongs to the hardball baseball club)
2005 Joined Pioneer Eco Science Co., Ltd. (seed company)
Vegetable breeding, variety selection, and seed production
2007 Entered Waseda University School of Art, Department of Architecture
2013: Studied under Hitoshi Ikegawa, representative of agricultural production corporation “i-vines” in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture
Learn the techniques of viticulture
2015 Learned brewing techniques at Chateau Sakaori, a winery in Kofu City
In 2016, he returned to Ichikai-cho, Haga-gun, Tochigi Prefecture and founded Kusaka Vinyards.
Started grape cultivation mainly for brewing grapes
